News Roundup March / April 2017

Over the last couple of months we have plenty of action within the gardens. Midland Forestry completed the tree surgery and maintenance of all the trees. It will open the canopy and all dead wood has been removed from the gardens.

We also saw the wildflower area seeded by the Owl sculpture, so within a few months we hope to have a flood of colour and flowers to enjoy. Seeds and sign were kindly donated by Friends of the Earth.

Our litter picks and garden sweeps are also going really well and we have started to see the edging stones of the paths come back into sight, after a few years of being hidden under earth and leaves.

This is really giving definition to the edges of the paths and looks wonderful.

Our first ever event in the park also took place with an Easter Egg hunt. 10 clues were hidden around the park and a mystery word had to be solved in order to win an Easter egg. It was a resounding success and so well attended. Here's to the next!!!!

Finally our sign was painted by one of the members children.

Here it is in all its glory!
