New plants, gardening & litter

Friends of Greenfield Gardens were lucky enough to have plants donated by local horticulturalist Sam Oliver and the company he works for. So on out last litter pick we decided to plant a few of them in the corners in the park that were looking rather bare. We cleared out a lot of old dead plants and left in place the native plants that are beneficial for wildlife, insects and bees. The paths were edged and swept and all the litter was picked and then later collected by DMBC, who also supply the group with the equipment for picking litter.

Again it was a wonderful turn out by the community and the park is going from strength to strength. We also gained three new members and comments from passers by were very encouraging.

All of this couldn't be achieved without your help and support. Thank you.

As you can see from the pictures above. It's all looking really good!
